Lupe Fiasco's Tetsuo & Youth Album Gets Release Date
It looks like Atlantic Records and Lupe Fiasco are trying to keep it peaceful. The label officially announced a release date for his Tetsuo & Youth album, less than a week after Fiasco blasted the imprint (yet again) for refusing to give him a drop date until “they get a pop single.”
In light of the album delay, the Chicago MC decided to put out a mixtape called Lost in the Atlantic Ocean so as to “stay active and happy” in the midst of his label war.
Well the label switched it up this time around instead of battling with Fiasco as they did for his Lasers release a few years back. “@LupeFiasco's #TetsuoAndYouth 1/20/15,” tweeted Atlantic Wednesday (Oct. 15), to which Fiasco replied with a Training Day meme reading “mah n***a” across the front.
Tetsuo & Youth, Fiasco’s fifth studio album, includes the single “Mission,” which is an ode to cancer patients and and survivors.
