New Details Surface in Jonathan Majors' Criminal Case Ahead of Final Pre-Hearing Trial
There's a new development in the domestic violence case involving Jonathan Majors that could change the course of the proceedings.
According to Variety, the Manhattan District Attorney’s office recently submitted a filing containing previously unreported evidence. Within the 115-page report, prosecutors disclosed their efforts to acquire a copy of a London Metropolitan Police report from September 2022.
This report allegedly contains information related to a "Molineux incident," an apparent reference to Molineux Stadium in West Midlands, as well as details about the medical care received by Majors' ex-girlfriend, Grace Jabbari.
The actress, best known for her work in movies such as “Mission: Impossible - Dead Reckoning Part One” and “Barbie,” is a resident of the UK. Majors was reportedly also in London at that time, filming season two of the Disney+ Marvel series “Loki.”
Majors is set to appear in court on Wednesday (Oct. 25) for his final pre-trial hearing before the judge decides to proceed or dismiss the case.
The “Lovecraft Country” star is accused of beating his former partner in Manhattan last March but has maintained his innocence. The actor pleaded not guilty to the four charges against him, including misdemeanor harassment and assault charges; a fifth charge of strangulation was dropped.
Major’s legal team described the ordeal as a “witch hunt,” one that is “saturated with explicit and implicit bias.” If found guilty, Majors could face a year up to a year in jail.
