Issa Rae’s latest cover for Essence initially had folks going ga-ga over her beauty in a majestic all white ‘fit, but it was her ring finger that made the shoot go viral. On her finger was bling that looked very much like an engagement ring, which had the internet trying to track down any possible suitor that would qualify as her fiancé. 

Now whether the ring was meant as a prop (possibly for a new role) or she was wearing it because she really is engaged, is unknown, but the internet did find someone!

Louis Diame seems to be Issa’s mystery man. Very little is known about him, which makes sense since the Insecure actress and creator said this back in April 2018 in regards to her love life:

"I get so much feedback about everything," she told Maire Claire. "The one thing I don’t need feedback on is who I’m sleeping with."
