Willow Smith Talks Cartier, Her ‘Indestructible’ Hair in Teen Vogue
At only 13-years-old, Willow Smith has already earned a reputation for being a trendsetter to watch. And she’s upholding that title well in her new interview with Teen Vogue.
"My style is who I am all the time, and who I am always changes,” the singer-actress says of the inspiration behind her personal style, an eclectic mix of everything from punk rock to the boho tie-dye and velvet bell bottoms she favors as of late. Aside from her movie star good looks, being the daughter of Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith has some pretty good perks in the style department, too.
For starters, her favorite pair of heels were a personal gift from fashion icon Karl Lagerfeld. (“They make me feel like I'm a sophisticated Amazon woman,” she muses.) And you could say her love for accessories also runs in the family. "My whole family, we love Cartier,” says the "Whip My Hair" songstress, notably mentioning her mom’s gold Juste un Clou bracelet, which we wouldn’t mind having in our own collection.
Just as enviable? Willow’s bold approach to her hairstyles. From tail-length braids meant for whipping back and forth to her current bleached crop, she jokes, “My hair is super-, super-, super-, superhard to destroy. It's a survivor.” And yes, “Blondes do have more fun!"
