Jay-Z Joins Stacked Line Up For iHeartRadio Fest
The iHeartRadio Music Festival in Las Vegas has just scored a major hip hop star for its roster, as Jay-Z has agreed to perform at the fest in September.
The Clear Channel-sponsored event, which takes place over two days, was hardly starving for big name talent-- Hov joins Lady Gaga, Coldplay, The Black Eyed Peas, Nicki Minaj, Alicia Keys, Jennifer Lopez, Usher, Bruno Mars and many others who will take the stage at the star-studded event that supports the radio industry.
Jay's appearance means at least one half of The Throne will be closing out the first night of the festival on September 23. The show takes place shortly before he heads out on the road with his brother from another mother, Kanye West.
“When we conceived the iHeartRadio Music Festival we set out to break down boundaries between genres and assemble a collection of the biggest musicians in the world,” said Bob Pittman, Chairman of Media and Entertainment Platforms for Clear Channel in a statement. “Jay-Z embodies that range; he has had a defining influence on music, and the creative influence he continues to have on other artists cannot be overstated. Adding him to the line-up is yet one more reason the festival a once-in-lifetime music event."
Tickets for the shows, which take place at the MGM Grand Garden Arena, have already sold out.
