Lupita Nyong'o's Brother Lands First Film Role
It seems like yesterday Lupita Nyong'o won an Oscar for her breakthrough role in 12 Years a Slave, but that wasn't the only big moment for the Nyong'o family that night. Her little brother, Peter, also made history by joining in Ellen DeGeneres's break-the-Internet group selfie.(He was the one who blocked Angelina Jolie's face.) Now, it seems, young Peter will have his chance to take the spotlight, as he's just landed his first film role.
Peter has signed on for a supporting role in designer-turned-director Tom Ford's upcoming film, Nocturnal Animals, starring Jake Gyllenhaal and Amy Adams, reports Deadline.com. No details are available about the role Peter will play in the thriller, but the source says it's a "small part."
Well, given how easily Peter stood out during Lupita's awards season, we doubt he'll have trouble making a big impression with a small part. We can't wait to see the potentially rising star in his film debut!
Surely Lupita will be a role model for her baby bro. Watch the Oscar winner talk about the importance of mentors in the film industry in our exclusive interview, below:
