Plaxico Burress Ethers Nick Saban in Twitter Rant

Former NFL star thinks Alabama's football coach is a hypocrite.

One of Nick Saban's former players thinks the University of Alabama football coach is being a giant hypocrite.

On Wednesday, Saban said he believes NFL Draft grades being handed out to juniors in December negatively affects the way they play their remaining college gridiron games. The Crimson Tide coach even added that the draft grades might have been the reason some of his players played tentatively in their Sugar Bowl loss against Ohio State on January 1, according to ESPN.

Well, Plaxico Burress caught wind of what Saban said and ripped his former coach via a Twitter rant.

Burress, who played for Saban at Michigan State from 1997-99 before being the No. 8 pick in the 2000 NFL Draft, alleges that Saban asked him to stay in school only to leave Michigan State himself to take the head coaching job at LSU in November 1999.

Burress thinks Saban should have a seat on the matter of players chasing NFL money.

After making the comments, Burress fought off Twitter users mocking him for his infamous November 2008 nightclub incident in which he accidentally shot himself in the leg.

Burress simply replied that he "told a true story and people are upset."
