K. Michelle Stands By Charges That Memphitz Abused Her

"I stand behind my story 100 percent."

After getting sued for defamation by producer and ex-boyfriend Memphitz, K. Michelle is standing by her allegations that he physically abused her during their relationship.
In a statement to TMZ, Michelle, who starred in the debut season of Love & Hip Hop Atlanta, said she has the truth on her side.
"I've always been told that the truth shall set you free. I stand behind my story 100 percent," she said. "I came on the Love & Hip Hop Atlanta show mainly because I wanted to give a voice and bring light to a very serious issue."

Memphitz, who is now married to reality star Toya Wright, has vigorously denied the charges, made by Michelle on television during the Love & Hip Hop premiere, that he "beat her a--."

"Hopefully others will not have to go through this and then have their stories challenged to this degree because people now want to try to salvage whatever reputation they may have had," Michelle said.

The BET Music Matters alum will defend her case in court.
