Cali Swag Opens M-Bone Funeral to Public
Funeral services for slain Cali Swag District member M-Bone will take place this Friday at Inglewood's Faithful Central Bible Church, reports Hip Hop DX. Due to an overwhelming response, CSD members have extended the funeral invitation to the public.
"There has been a tremendous outreach of concern and the family would like to have the funeral open to the public and fans that would like to support," Cali Swag's publicist wrote in a statement.
As previously reported, the rapper was gunned down last Sunday night outside of an Inglewood, California, liquor store. The Inglewood City Council has offered a hefty reward for anyone who can offer any information that leads to the capture of the gunman who killed the young rapper.
Remaining group members recently released a tribute song "How to Do That" in honor of their fallen group member. On the track, JayAre reflects on the affects of the senseless violence.
"Then a n---a did you wrong/On your way to get a blunt, you should put it in a bong/M-Bone lives through me, Smoove and Yung/So when we all turnout up, he still having fun," he raps.
The group plans to release a music video for the track as well. In the meantime, services will take place May 27, 11 a.m., at Faithful Central on 333 W. Florence Avenue in Inglewood.
