Amber Rose Forgives Kanye West, Wiz Khalifa at #SlutWalk
It may look like Amber Rose was all smiles at her triumphant SlutWalk Saturday –– based on the pics –– but she broke down in tears when she took the stage.
“I’ve decided to have this SlutWalk for women who have been through s**t,” she said. "Even though I am up here crying, I want to be the strong person you all look up to."
She then explained that –– although she's been the topics of songs before –– the slut-shaming lyrics her ex-husband spit on "For Everybody" really hit home. "He came out with that song, and all I ever did was love him. I loved him so much, and gave him a beautiful son, and to be told that I was nothing but a stripper... it hurt."
It hurt so much, it reminded her of the time Kanye said what he did about the 30 showers. "I want to forgive Kanye for what he said about me. I want to let all of that negativity go,” she said. "... Wiz actually apologized to me already, so I have forgiven him. I suggest that you guys do the same."
She got plenty of cheers for that.
The day wasn't without its controversy, however. Comedian Lil Duval summed up much of the non-sympathetic sentiments in a Twitter rant.
"Amber Rose got too much power to be so lost. Where iyanla?" he started, followed by more questions like, "Man this s**t is pure comedy 😂😂😂😂 how do y'all expect us to take this #slutwalk serious," and, "If the slut walk is about rape victims please show me where they marching about that right now ... If people are missing the point of the slut walk that means I'm right. ITS A EPIC FAIL!!! We laughing at u hoes."
Amber didn't back down. "@lilduval Lol 😂😂😂 ur mad af. #HoesBeWinning," she tweeted, to which he eventually caved, using a self-depricating re-post. "This girl just said on my Instagram "you just mad cause her career is bigger than yo rap career" 😂😂😂," he wrote.
Now, the world waits to see if Kanye apologizes. So far, mums the word from the entire Kardashian-West crew.
