Drake Had the Bossiest Response to a Neighbor's Noise Complaint
Drake’s prowess as a boss is seriously underrated. Not only is the OVO headman head-over-heels rich, he’s used some of his smarts in the past to pull off some low-key pretty impressive moves.
Case in point, the Toronto rapper had recently been fielding noise complaints from a neighbor of his in California. Drizzy’s known to throw pool parties from time to time there but apparently things can get a little out of hand.
Normal people who face a neighbor’s complaints usually turn down the party or end it all together to avoid escalation. After all, you still have to live next to that person or persons everyday. If you’re Drake though, the rules are in your favor.
Drake raps, “I’ll buy the neighbors house if they complain about the noise,” on Future's Dirty Sprite 2 track "Where Ya At," and apparently that line of braggadocio is actually true.
The real estate website Trulia reports Drake shelled out $2.85 million for the 4,445-square-foot, four-bedroom, five-bathroom home adjacent to his already sprawling Southern California estate. The new crib also has a pool, so it sounds like more people can be invited to his next shindig.
SMH. Must be nice. Remember, Kanye West lives on the same block, so if Drake keeps buying the neighborhood’s houses, he and Yeezy may go into a real estate war.
