The One Foundation You’ll Need All Summer Long
B* Girls, I’m gonna shoot it to you straight: when it comes to my makeup routine, I’m probably the laziest beauty editor, ever. Let me explain.
I love a good beat as much as the next girl, but I’m not always willing to put in the time, you know? Especially during the summer, on most days, I love to let my naked face take center stage, smoothing on sunscreen, clear mascara and some tinted lip moisturizer to get that fresh, no makeup-makeup look favorited by Jourdan Dunn, Gigi Hadid and Zendaya.
That being said, no woman should be without a multi-purpose foundation for when she wants a little extra polish. And that one foundation is Diorskin Star Studio Makeup ($50), the luxury brand’s first brightening foundation. I know, 50 bucks ain’t nothing to sneeze at, but this skin-perfecting product is really worth it.
Diorskin Star Studio features Boasting Light Pulson technology, which gives the appearance that skin is bathed in light as it would be in actual studio lighting techniques. Hollow silica beads diffuse light and create a halo effect, and over time, the formula's targeted skincare ingredients help reduce the appearance of dark areas and redness. It’s also enriched with broad spectrum SPF 30 to keep skin shielded from the sun.
On the skin, it feels completely weightless and wears for hours with no need for touch-ups, even on my sweatiest days. Before applying, I smooth on an oil-fighting primer (I use MD SolarSciences MD Creme Mineral Beauty Balm), then apply the foundation, then finish lightly with M.A.C. Mineralize Skinfinish across my T-zone.
Clearly, this foundation is made for the lazy beauty addicts at heart, and I’m down with that.
