LaVar Ball Went On CNN And Dragged Trump, Asking 'Why Is That On Your Mind?' Regarding The UCLA Basketball Players' China Arrest
This past weekend, President Trump said, "I should have left them in jail," regarding the three UCLA basketball players arrested for shoplifting in China, because he felt like LaVar Ball was "very ungrateful" over his assist to get his son LiAngelo Ball and his two teammates home to Los Angeles following the incident.
Well, LaVar appeared on CNN last night and proceeded to return fire at the celebrity-in-chief.
"Do I think the president helped? I don't know," Ball told CNN's Chris Cuomo. "I don't care and I don't know. I wasn't there. I'm not going to say nothing that I don't know, I don't see and I don't hear. If he said he helped, that's good for his mind."
Ball continued: "If you helped, you shouldn't have to say anything. If I helped somebody, I don't walk around saying, 'You know, I helped you now. Come on now, give me some love. I helped you.' Man, come on. For real!?"
Then came Ball's most valid question aimed at the president.
"Why is that on your mind?" he said. "All this stuff going on and that's on your mind — that a father didn't say thank you?"
With the looming threat of North Korea, the state of our health care system and his own alleged Russian scandal, it is interesting that Trump can't seem to stop talking about the UCLA players' shoplifting incident and protesting NFL players.
Ball said he would have thanked Trump had the president put LiAngelo on the same airplane back to the U.S. as him.
You can watch LaVar Ball's full interview on CNN below.
You already know that Trump's Twitter fingers will probably react any minute now.
What do you think about LaVar's comments on CNN? Should he have thanked Trump?
