Cardi B Offers A Classy Clapback To Candace Owens Challenging Her Choice To Co-Sign Bernie Sanders

The conservative commentator and Trump supporter called out the rapper's decision to sit-down with Senator Bernie Sanders.

It may be too early to cast our votes, but Cardi B is helping to spread awareness on next year's presidential campaign. Unfortunately, not everyone is here for the rapper's choice in endorsement.
Recently, the Grammy-winning artist teased an upcoming interview with Senator Bernie Sanders. Last night Cardi took to her Instagram page to upload a photo of her and Senator Sanders seated together, with the following caption:
"Not me, US. Thank you Senator Bernie Sanders for sitting with me and sharing your plans on how you will change this country. A couple of weeks ago I asked my followers if you had the opportunity to have a question answered by a democratic candidate what would it be? I got a lot of submission and selected the most popular questions to get answered. Stay tuned to see how he will fight for economic, racial, and social justice for all. Together, let’s build a movement of young people to transform this country. LETS LEARN OUR CANDIDATES!"

  • Following Cardi's teaser of the upcoming sit-down with the 2020 presidential hopeful, political commentator Candace Owens asked her followers to "Please retweet," the Invasion of Privacy rapper, followed up by a proposal:

"I see that @iamcardib is politically advocating for Bernie Sanders with claims that Trump is bad," Owens started off. She continued, "I would like [to] publicly offer 250k to a political campaign of her choosing if she will publicly debate her stance with either myself or ANY black conservative I choose."

  • Owens then corrected the word "campaign" to "charity."

Cardi B swiftly replied to the conservative activist and avid Donald Trump supporter turning down Owens' offer, instead suggesting that she donate the money instead.

"Why don’t you use that 250k for a charity that will be more helpful. I like Bernie because since the 60s he’s been fighting for (link: http://equality.It) equality. It looks like progression is really his passion.I still want to ask other candidates questions that my followers would like to know."

Cardi continued to Owens, "My actual goal is to educate the Youth on our (link: http://candidates.To) candidates. To advocate and spread the message on ANY candidate they chose to support .The same way you do for your favorite. That is all."

  • Owens responded to Cardi by referring to Sanders as a "fraud."

  • Cardi didn't respond to Owens' last tweet, but did encourage fans to tune into part one, of the second round of Democratic dates tonight (July 30) in Detroit.
