Janet Channels 'Ms. Jackson' Vibes During Visit at Detroit Cookout
Fans on social media are cracking up at the new video of legendary pop star Janet Jackson showing off her dance moves as she waited in line at a recent cookout in Detroit.
The 58-year-old shared clips on her Instagram Story this week showing her heading straight to the food station. She told the woman behind the table, "I haven’t eaten anything…I’m ready to grub." The industry legend is on a break from her “Together Again” tour.
The server asked Janet, “Would you like some catfish?” The singer playfully asked, “What did you say?” The server confirmed, "Catfish,” prompting Janet to tease back, “No, you didn’t.”
However, the server insisted, revealing a platter of beautifully golden-browned catfish behind the table. Janet let out a long “Ouuuuu” before spontaneously dancing.
As the server searched for a crispy piece of catfish, Janet, in her element, grooved to the beats of Rihanna and DJ Khaled’s "Wild Thoughts" playing in the background, sticking her tongue out and swaying her hips and shoulders.
Fans on social media were in tears, including one Twitter user who wrote, “I’m sorry but THE Janet Jackson dancing to my cooking would have me so unbearable.”
Another person quipped that fans saw a “deleted scene off Poetic Justice.”
