DDG Addresses Hurtful Comments About Son Halo

“There's no baby more handsome,” the rapper declared.

Just hours after revealing the face of his and Halle Bailey's son, Halo, YouTube personality and rapper DDG, took to social media to shield his child from negative comments.

On Thursday, July 4th,  the 26-year-old new dad expressed that it had been a "long, long, long six months" of keeping the newborn out of the public eye. He noted that he had been reading comments online and confidently stated, "There's no baby more handsome" than his son.

He continued, “And if it is a baby watching this right now and you’re a little more handsome than my son… not more handsome but like you neck and neck with him, congratulations to you are literally the 1%.”

However, the “Elon Musk” rapper wasn’t as lighthearted when addressing critics. "I seen a few poor, broke, dirty, fat backs on Instagram talking about my son and it just makes me so angry and mad.” He added, “But then I have to realize that my son is richer than them, and he has a more successful life.”

DDG went on to list off some of Halo’s recent achievements, including traveling to Italy and other places across the world just before his first birthday, something the rapper says his critics haven’t done because “they’re broke, poor, and barely eat, probably on welfare still and they grown probably living with their mama.”

The social media star clarified, “If you are a nice person and I described your life in any way, I don’t mean no harm to you. I’m talking to the people that was talking crazy about my son.”

Elsewhere, he explained that he didn’t want to add to the negativity: “It’s just I’m very protective of my son, protective of family in general, but my son... I’m overly protective, like crash-out protective.”

It doesn’t appear DDG will feed into the negativity soon. He concluded his video by saying, “I know my son is handsome. I know I have a very beautiful, smart, intelligent son, and I’m very proud of him. He’s going to be the future.”

Halle and DDG welcomed their first child together sometime in 2023 but made an official announcement on Instagram at the top of the new year.
