Wendy Williams Returns To Talk Show Set To Save Some Of Her Most Precious Props
Wendy Williams may not have hosted the final episode of her iconic talk show, but that didn’t reportedly keep her from retrieving some keepsakes from it.
According to Radar Online, the 57-year-old appeared on the set of The Wendy Williams Show after the last episode aired to collect several items she left behind before they possibly could be discarded.
"We took it from the show. When they announced the show was over, I said to Wendy, 'let's go get your stuff,'" Will Selby, the former host's new manager, revealed, according to the outlet. "I thought 'Why should it stay there- so people can sell it on eBay?' There were some things I felt were iconic.”
Among the items reportedly retrieved were Williams' famous purple couch, wigs, and "some custom-made shoes and pieces of artwork that were created for her."
"That was her's, and it signifies the old chapter closing as we start the new one," Selby told The Sun. "We are going to take it, and that will be part of her new show."
Insiders close to the show also noted that everything left behind was going in the trash, per Williams’ request. Apparently, she didn’t want anyone to sell it.
