Natasha Rothwell Will Star and Produce TV Adaptation of Reesa Teesa's Viral TikTok Series 'Who TF Did I Marry?'
Natasha Rothwell, known for her roles on “Insecure” and “White Lotus,” is set to develop a TV adaptation of "Who TF Did I Marry?," a viral TikTok series created by Tareasa "Reesa Teesa" Johnson earlier this year. According to Variety, the writer and actress will executive produce the project and portray Johnson in the series.
The TikToks consist of 50 videos totaling over eight hours about a marriage gone wrong. Johnson shared her experiences with her ex-husband, whom she described as “a real pathological liar. The series has amassed over 450 million impressions across social media, catapulting Johnson to over 3 million followers in just two weeks.
During an interview with CNN earlier this year, Johnson revealed that she had no regrets about sharing her story, in which she revealed discovering her husband's deception. The couple met on a dating app just before the pandemic, moved in together to quarantine, married in 2021, and separated six months later.
“I’ve had a lot of messages from people who were telling me, ‘You know, I went through something very similar,” Johnson said to the media outlet then. “‘Your story has helped me make decisions in my own relationship.’ So, I definitely would say the overwhelming support has definitely made this worth it.”
