Must-Read: Janet Mock Makes A Strong Statement On Morgan Freeman’s Inappropriate Comments About Her Body
Morgan Freeman has recently come under fire for allegedly making some inappropriate remarks to a slew of female journalists during press junkets.
Most recently, two of these female reporters, both of whom were representing Entertainment Tonight, were shown in a re-published clip appearing visibly uncomfortable during a verbal exchange with the actor. Now, one of the ladies, Janet Mock, is speaking out about her interview with him.
During the clip, the brief moments before the interview was set to take place were recorded, showing Freeman making some sexually suggestive remarks towards Mock.
He initially told her as she sat down, "I don't know how you all manage to do that all the time." After she asked if he was referring to her hair and makeup, he specified, "No. You got a dress that's halfway between your knee and your... hips, and you sit down right across from me and you cross your legs..."
Take a look at the clip, for yourself, below:
Prior to ET republishing the video, Mock gave a statement to the site detailing her shock in witnessing Freeman's behavior firsthand.
"I was deeply disappointed that someone who was seen as America's grandfather was susceptible to such disturbing behavior and felt comfortable enough to do that as cameras were rolling, and that he could take claim of my body and look at it before even looking into my eyes," she said.
Freeman has since issued an apology to anyone who felt "uncomfortable or disrespected."
