It's not everyday that the Purple One personally invites you to one of his swanky sourires, so when that invitation is extended, "no" is not an acceptable response.

Regina King proved this when recalling the moment she was invited to Prince's Oscars party, but once she got there, what happened next was pretty embarrassing.

While appearing on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, the star revealed that, after inviting fellow actress Reese Witherspoon to tag along, she ended up falling asleep at the party.

"We went to the Prince party," she said. "They're playing pool. Prince is jamming — him and his band — and Reese and I fell asleep."

When Fallon asked her to specify whether it was full-blown sleep or just a cat nap, she cleared up that they were fully knocked out.
