People Are Comparing Texans' J.J. Watt's Approach To Raising Money Vs. Kevin Hart's For Harvey Victims
It's not a competition, but J.J. Watt is running circles around Kevin Hart in raising money for Tropical Storm Harvey victims in Houston.
After starting out on Sunday with a modest goal of $200,000, the Houston Texans' star defensive end has raised a whopping $10 million — and growing — for victims of the horrible disaster, which has devastated H-Town.
That's roughly 10 times the amount than the $1 million-plus Hart has raised via his "#HurricaneHarveyReliefChallenge," in which he directly called out celebrities to donate.
Well, people are taking notice and comparing each of Watt's and Hart's methods of raising money to all the victims of Harvey.
At least everyone can agree Houston needs our support in what is bound to be a massive relief effort.
It's incredible that J.J. Watt has been able to help raise over $10 million for harvey victims in just a few days
The Texans' defensive end started with the goal of $200,000 on Sunday. Up next was a goal of $500K, which was crushed in less than 24 hours. That jumped to $800K, having crossed the $1 million mark earlier this week. A challenge of reaching $1.5 million soon turned into $2 million and then $3 million. It took a $1 million donation from the Ellen DeGeneres Show yesterday to bring the total amount of money raised to over $8.5 million, eventually hitting the $10 million-plus that Watt announced today. Wow! Great job by J.J. Watt growing this fundraising effort into what it has become in less than a week.
Just yesterday, Kevin Hart announced that his fundraising efforts have received donations of just over $1 million
The superstar comedian and actor called on some of his A-list friends to help, and they've been coming through for H-Town.
And let's talk about the fact that Kevin Hart donated to J.J. Watt's fundraising efforts
How dope is that!?

Others have joined the effort as well
Let's keep the support going strong.
And people couldn't resist from comparing the two
Is a comparison really necessary when it's for the greater good of the people?

Anyone spearheading an effort to raise money from Houston should be acknowledged.
