Everyone’s wondering why Kanye West and Jay-Z aren’t on stable terms right now, and perhaps the root of the problem has to do with business.

According to TMZ, Kanye has left Hov’s streaming service Tidal for financial reasons, claiming the company owes him millions of dollars.

“Kanye West, a key player in Jay Z's Tidal stable, has left the company over a money dispute and Tidal has threatened to sue him,” the website reported, citing anonymous sources close to Tidal. “We're told Kanye has complained the company owes him money — more than $3 million.”

Hov spent a couple of bars on his brand new 4:44 album allegedly venting his current issues with the Chicago superproducer and rapper. On the opening track “Kill Jay Z,” he raps, “But you ain’t a Saint’ this ain't Kumba ‘Ye / But you got hurt because you did cool by ’Ye / You gave him 20 million without blinkin’ / He gave you 20 minutes on stage f**k was he thinkin.’”

Previously, the music world pointed to ‘Ye’s frustration with Jay as stemming from an October 2016 tour stop in Seattle where Kanye cited a conflict between Tidal and Apple Music as being the reason the Drake-collaborated song “Pop Style” was omitted from the Toronto rapper's album Views.

“And this shit be getting me tight every time I perform this m****rf****r,” West told people from the stage. “That y’all didn't get what y’all were supposed to get with me and Drake on this song ‘cause of some Tidal/Apple bulls**t.”

Kim Kardashian was also upset at Jay-Z’s disses of her husband. A source close to her described her as protective of him and didn’t want this to be put out there on music.

Hopefully someone just picks up the phone and deads all of this soon, for the culture.
