Kathy Griffin: "My White Friends Don't Know Katt Williams and Kevin Hart"
Kathy Griffin is at the top of her comedy game right now, but it took years of paying dues for her to get here. So the groundbreaking comedienne and self-proclaimed "D-lister" has plenty to say about the state of comedy today.
The comedienne sounds off on SNL's diversity problem in our exclusive video. "I'm a female in comedy, so of course I want there to be more women on SNL, and women of color," she says.
Plus, the funny gal talks politics, the Tea Party and the how a plethora of cable networks has resulted in a "segregation of comedy." Griffin, who counts everyone from Moms Mabley to Bill Cosby among her influences, also reveals, "many of my white friends don't know Kevin Hart and Katt Williams."
We're sure she'll clue them in. Check out our exclusive interview with Kathy Griffin below!
