Wu-Tang Returns With Legendary Weapons
In hip hop, the Wu-Tang Clan is so legendary that when they release anything that resembles a new album it's a special event. So on July 26, E1 will release Legendary Weapons, and even though it isn't an official new album from Staten Island's finest, it's close enough.
This "project," as the press release calls it, features RZA, Ghostface Killah, Raekwon, Method Man, U-God, Inspectah Deck and Cappadonna. That's six (seven if you count Cappadonna) of the original nine members of the group. And if that wasn't enough, there's also guest spots from AZ, M.O.P, Sean Price and others. Executive-produced by RZA--who contributed a few tracks too, the album's "throw-back sound is inspired by classic soul and Kung Fu imagery."
The first single is RZA's "Only the Rugged Will Survive," which will be followed up by "225 Rounds," featuring U-God, Cappadonna, Bronze Nazareth and RZA.
