Malia Obama Shows Us All How to Make the Perfect First Impression as an Intern
On Monday, Lena Dunham and Jenni Konner spoke about their experience having Malia Obama as an intern
The Girls creator and showrunner described how pleasant the former first daughter was to be around while on set.
According to Dunham, Obama was down to do it all
“She’s an angel. Obviously, we weren’t making her go get our coffee,” Dunham said. “But she wanted to do all the jobs — that was the cool thing.”
Dunham was also very impressed with Obama's knowledge of film
“I once asked her favorite movie, and she went, ‘Well, do you want me to list it by favorite director, writer or cinematographer?’” Dunham said. “And I was like, ‘You’re smarter than me. Let’s just be done with this.’”

There were also some funny moments involving secret service, and scenes not suitable for young eyes
Dunham recalled a time when Secret Service wouldn’t let her in her bathroom because Malia was in there. “I was like, ‘I know her. It’s fine. I’m just going to go in there and pee.’”
And showrunner Jenni Konner admitted that the young Obama could not be present for everything.
“Because of her age at the time, we couldn’t do the graphic sex scenes around her if we wanted to,” Konner said.
Malia Obama is now working as an intern with Harvey Weinstein
