Fellas: As much as you all know the importance of using condoms, you don’t always rock them. We’ve heard all the excuses:

Baby, it doesn’t feel as good.

Why? Don’t you trust me?

I’m too big for one (Which, by the way, is scientifically impossible. Just saying).

And now, according to a new study, a woman's attractiveness may be used as an excuse for dudes not to strap up. 

Researchers from the University of Southampton and the University of Bristol in the UK showed 51 heterosexual men between the ages of 18 and 69 pictures of an array of women and later asked who was attractive, who they believed had an STD and who they would have sex with sans a condom.

And what they found was eye opening.

Men were more willing to have condomless sex with attractive women despite believing these women were “more likely" to have an STD. Meanwhile, the same men said that they'd be more likely to use a condom with a less attractive woman, even if they thought she was “less likely” to have an STI. They also found that if the men found themselves to be attractive, they were less likely to use condoms too.

Sigh. What’s really going on?

Researchers say that evolution could be to blame for this utter ridiculousness.

In an email, co-author Roger Ingham told The Washington Post that men may make decisions like this based on "wanting to reproduce with women they find more attractive,” hence the unprotected sex part. But, either way, given the high prevalence of HIV and STDs, especially among African-Americans, isn’t it possible to shake that off for the sake of public health?

Now ladies, before you start shaking your heads, fall all the way back. Researchers conducted a similar study surveying women and the results were pretty much the same. Bloop.

Apparently we are all on one.

But we can't be this shallow and impulsive. Anyone can have an STD regardless of how attractive (or not) we perceive them to be. So can we just do better and wrap it up?
