Watch: Stephen Curry and Ayesha Hit the Sonoma Raceway for a Cool Reason
Whether it was winning the 2015 NBA championship or coming up short in the Finals this past June, Stephen Curry can always take solace in knowing that his wife, Ayesha, will be cheering him on no matter what.
But on Sunday, roles were reversed, as the back-to-back NBA MVP found himself cheering for his significant other at a major sporting event.
That's because Ayesha was named the grand marshal of the IndyCar season finale at the Sonoma Raceway.
The celebrity chef's main duty? To make sure drivers of the race had their engines revved up and were ready to go.
Here's Ayesha in all her glory.
And Steph was more than happy to take the backseat of attention to Ayesha in full support of his wife.
“She’s got a great thing going and I am supportive of the things she’s passionate about: cooking, her lifestyle platform,” Steph told The Mercury News. “So to see that be recognized and give her opportunities like this to just get out and have some fun, I am happy to support her.”
That being said, both Currys got to soak in the full racing experience — from donning full drivers' suits to getting behind the wheel of a race car before the event.
They even got to meet racing legend Mario Andretti.
Sounds and looks like a great Sunday for the Currys!
