Colin Kaepernick On Playing For The NFL: 'I Know I Have To Find My Way Back In'

Kapernick hasn’t played in the NFL since 2016.

In a recent interview with Chad Johnson, Brandon Marshall, and Adam “Pacman” Jones, former NFL star Colin Kaepernick shared his interest in returning to football even if that means as a backup quarterback.

"I know I have to find my way back in,” he shared.

“So, if I have to come in as a backup, that's fine. But that's not where I'm staying. And when I prove that I'm a starter, I want to be able to step on the field as such. I just need that opportunity to walk through the door.”

The 34-year-old expressed he just “needs an opportunity to walk through the door.”

He’s been training for a hopeful return to the league, as BET.com reported how the former 49ers player was on the hunt to recruit receivers to work out with and took to Twitter to see who would be interested.

“For The past 5 years I’ve been working out and staying ready in case an opportunity to play presented itself,” Kaepernick wrote.
