The 2016 BET Hip Hop Awards Cyphers, Ranked
Every year at the BET Hip Hop Awards, some of the finest in hip-hop gather to bring their best bars to the table for the Cyphers. These cyphers are hugely important in breaking careers, building careers and reminding us all of legendary careers. This year at the 2016 BET Hip Hop Awards, we definitely got some goodies. So let's rank them all, starting with the best. Now keep in mind, everybody did their thing, but of course we had some favorites. Check them out.
The Digital Cypher (Token, Mr. Paradise, Don Flamingo, Levi Carter, District 21)
This cypher brought us the bilingual bars from Mr. Paradise. Don't worry, there are subtitles.
Don Q, Russ, A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie, Kent Jones, Nick Grant Cypher
Nick Grant's clean-up bars at the end though...
BET Jams Cypher (Millyz, Jaz The Rapper, Your Old Droog, John John Da Don, Chris Rivers)
We added this one as an honorary ranking, especially for this line by Jaz The Rapper: "Even my friends ask, 'Why you never go nowhere?' 'Cause I could be the next Sandra if the po-po there." [insert fire emoji]

The Live Cypher (Oswin Benjamin, Locksmith, Dead Prez)
Snoop made the Live Cypher a movement, and this time around we got some fire #wokebars from some of the best, including Dead Prez and Locksmith.
State Property Cypher (Peedi Crack, Neef Buck, Omillio Sparks, Freeway, Beanie Sigel)
State Property came with some classic bars. And just when you thought Freeway closed it out, Beanie Sigel came walking through with more rhymes!
Chocolate Droppa And Lil Wayne Cypher
Watching Chocolate Droppa trade bars with Weezy and witnessing the rebirth of the word "slime" was the epitome of epic cyphering.
