This Member of Paris Jackson’s Family Fears Fame Will ‘Break’ Her

One of her famous uncles is speaking out.

Paris Jackson's star is only just beginning to rise and with her securing her first acting role on the Fox drama Star, the young scion is only getting more famous by the minute.

While she has a lot to look forward to, one of her famous uncles is speaking out on her new-found fame, revealing that he promised his late brother, Michael, that he will always take care of Paris.

Speaking with The Sun Online, Jermaine Jackson said that while he is happy for his niece, he wants to shield her from the pitfalls that often occur in the entertainment industry.

"We're very proud of Paris. I just think we have to make sure she is OK because this business [is] not kind to anybody," he said. "It can break you. You have to know when to hold them, when to fold them, when to make your move and when to hold back. She's had an incredible logic path — she's had the entire Jackson family legacy as the logic. Her tough challenges are going to come down the road because there is always going to be a fork in the road and you have to know whether to turn left or right. You have to pull yourself together."

The 18-year-old has already had somewhat of a troubled past as she tried to commit suicide back in 2013. A few years later, in an interview with Rolling Stone, she spoke more in-depth about that moment.

Now, she says she is in a different head space and has turned her life around, and is actively pursuing a career in entertainment.
