Tristan Wilds, Christina Milian and More Celebrate McDonald's
McDonald’s brought flavor to Hollywood’s Siren Studios Thursday night for the launch party for their new food selection, Chicken McBites. Stars in attendance included Meagan Good, Laz Alonso, Omarosa Manigault-Stallworth and Lance Gross. And for other celebrities the mere mention of the beloved fast food chain brought out memories of their favorite comfort food from their past and present.
“My middle name is Mac, so I remember when I was younger I was always excited to go to McDonald’s,” remembers Red Tails star Tristan Wilds. “My dad told me they named the Big Mac after me. But somebody at school shut me down at 11 and told me it wasn’t true."
Christina Milian admits to currently being all about “the fish sandwich and french fries with an orange soda on the side.” The pop singer and actress says she works out and has to pace herself when she hits the drive-thru because “nothing beats their breakfast.”
DJ C-Squared (a.k.a. Connor Cruise, son of Tom Cruise) kept the crowd moving until the party’s headliners, legendary hip hop queens Salt N Pepa, put their biggest hits on blast when they hit the stage, including “Push It,” "Whatta Man” and the duo’s personal favorite, “Shoop.”
After nearly 30 years together as pioneer female MCs, the sisterly pair who sometimes talk in unison and often complete each other's sentences, shared their classic recipe on how they cope with pre-showtime jitters.
“We go our separate ways and deal with it,” says Pepa.
Salt laughs, “Actually, I run from her. She likes to talk, I like quiet and she chases me around.”
