Young Jeezy Safely Out of Mexico City After Earthquake

Young Jeezy was stranded following a 7.6 quake that rocked the city.

Rapper Young Jeezy was caught on the wrong side of the border on Tuesday [March 20] when a 7.6 earthquake struck Mexico City.

Although he made it through the quake without injury, the Snowman was forced to miss a scheduled performance in Las Vegas for the filming of MTV's Spring Break special. Another Atlanta rapper, 2 Chainz, replaced Jeezy on the bill alongside B.o.B.

President Obama's eldest daughter, Malia, was also in Mexico during the earthquake, as a participant in a service project with her school, reports ABC News.

"In light of today's earthquake, we can confirm that Malia Obama is safe and was never in danger," the first lady's communications director Kristina Schake said in a written statement.

Jeezy has since made it safely to the states, landing in Las Vegas yesterday where he performed.
