Rodeo Clown Makes Racist Joke About Michelle Obama
Mike Hayhurst, a professional rodeo clown and barrel man who claims to provide “good clean family comedy always,” stunned an audience at the Creston Classic Rodeo on Saturday when he delivered a horribly racist joke about First Lady Michelle Obama.
First, he surprised spectators by announcing over the PA system that Playboy had offered Ann Romney $250,000 to pose in the magazine. But that soon changed to disgust when he added that "the White House is upset about it because National Geographic only offered Michelle Obama $50 to pose for them."
“I was really appalled and the people around me were really appalled,” spectator Dona Wilson told the San Luis Obispo Tribune. “He was acting like we were buying into his bigotry and we weren’t.”
Needless to say the group that hired Hayhurst wasn’t laughing either.
“We probably won’t be using his services in the future,” Mike Barrett, who serves on the rodeo’s board, told the publication.
The not-so-funny clown also learned that karma is no joke. Hayhurst reportedly was unable to respond to media queries about the incident because he was in the hospital being treated for injuries sustained after being tossed by a bull.
