Brandy Says She'll "Body" Chris Brown in Rap Battle

The singer-rapper challenges Brown's lyrical skills.

From her Moesha days to her R&B career, Brandy has been known for her singing voice. However, she’s also performed as a hip hop and spoken word artist under the name Bran’Nu. In 2009, she was featured on Timbaland’s Shock Value II LP as her rapping persona. And now she’s boasting the superiority of her lyrical skills over singer and sometimes rapper Chris Brown.

In a visit to Philadelphia’s Hot 107.9, Brandy said that she would “body” Chris in a rap battle, challenging the R&B crooner to a cypher.

Chris has flexed his hip hop skills on his popular single “Look at Me Now.”
Fans mostly welcomed his lyrical flow, and there’s been speculation
whether or not he’ll keep pursuing rap opportunities, especially as he
plans a collaborative project with YMCMB star Tyga.

However, it’s nothing but love between the two singer-rappers, as they’ve collaborated on Brandy's single “Put It Down,” which will be featured on her upcoming album Two Eleven.

With Two Eleven set to release October 2, Brandy's diverse music talents will have a chance to shine once again in the spotlight. In the meantime, Brandy’s competitive spirit should encourage Breezy to step his game up for whenever the two get a chance to face off.
