Frank Ocean Vocal Injury Forces OVO Fest Cancellation

Singer pulls out of Drake's annual music festival.

Drake's annual OVO Festival has hit a glitch because of Frank Ocean's vocal chords. Night one of the two-night Toronto festival has been canceled due to the New Orleans native's vocal injury, reports Billboard.
Tour promoter Live Nation announced the news Tuesday (July 30).
The "Thinking About You" singer was scheduled to headline the OVO Festival Aug. 4, with James Blake as his opener. Blake has since been moved over to the second night alongside Drizzy, Wale, and yet to be announced "special guests."
Refunds are available to customers who bought tickets for the kick-off show.
After doctor's visit last week revealed a "small tear" in Ocean's vocal chords forcing him to scrap several of his upcoming shows starting with a four-date mini-tour in Australia. He also pulled out of Montreal's Osheaga Festival next month. The Grammy winner would've shared the bill with an eclectic lineup of more than 50 artists, including Kendrick Lamar, Azealia Banks and A Tribe Called Quest.
Osheaga organizers are "working extremely hard" to find a replacement for Ocean.
