Actress Pat Colbert, Known for Her Role as Dora Mae in 'Dallas,' Passes Away at 77
Actress Pat Colbert, known for her memorable roles in film and television, has passed away. The Hollywood veteran was 77.
According to Colbert’s sister Tami, who spoke with The Hollywood Reporter, the actress died on June 23 at her home in Compton following a series of health challenges, including three strokes she endured over the past decade.
Colbert, whose career spanned decades, captivated audiences with her talent and charisma on screen. She began her television career with a debut in “Eischiled” as a model, followed by a prominent role in “Flamingo Road,” which aired from 1980 to 1981. The actress was featured in the pilot episode and continued as a recurring character throughout the first season.
The star seemed to step back from acting during the late 1990s and 2000s before making a return with roles in 2014’s “Thom and Dusty Go to Mexico” and 2015’s “If Not For His Grace,” marking her final appearances on screen.
Social media users took to their platforms where they reflected on Colbert’s career, including one Twitter user who commented, “Loved her whenever she was on the screen in Dallas. RJ was always her best customer.”
Colbert is survived by her son, Michael, and her siblings, Tami, Aaron, and Johnetta.
