Jordan Peele’s ‘Us’ Is So Terrifying That Audiences Can Barely Watch It With Their Eyes Open
Jordan Peele’s follow-up to Get Out is certainly not disappointing. Viewers are walking away pleased with the film, but also, a little confused.
It’s probably what Peele was going for too. Many are going back to watch it two or three times just so they can understand what happened. We won’t spoil it for you here, but let’s just say it’s a head-scratcher in a good way.
Social media is, of course, reacting to what they saw. Most walked away intrigued.

Financially, the film is doing numbers at the box office. According to the Hollywood Reporter, the horror flick is expected to rake in $64 million in its opening weekend at the U.S. box office.
On Thursday night alone Us earned $7.4 million and is forecasted to take in about $27 million in Friday sales. It’s also projected to take the top spot over from Captain Marvel.
In a historical perspective, Us is likely to be the third-best opening weekend R-rated horror film ever. It holds the top spot at $123.4 million while last year’s Halloween scored a second place raking at $76.2 million.
