[Look] Former NBA Player Confronts Amtrak Passenger About Racist Remark
Ex-Washington Wizard player Etan Thomas recently took an Amtrak ride he would have no choice but to rate one star.
The former NBA baller is known for being an adoring father and an advocate for student athletes, so it came as a bit of a shock when he recently aired out this recent travel experience on his Facebook.
According to Thomas, he politely asked a woman if the seat next to her was taken. She said that it was and Thomas moved on down the row. Meanwhile, a white gentlemen asked her the same question and she moved her belongings so the man could sit down.
After judging the situation and what had just happened, Thomas recalled that he “had to say something.”
He blatantly asked the woman if she wasn’t comfortable with a Black man sitting next to her.
According to his retelling of the situation, the woman replied, “Don’t pull the race card stuff with me, I dated a Black guy in college.”
Oh. No. She. Didn't.
Thomas then took her photo to aid in his inevitable Facebook posting about the disgusting interaction, in which case the woman called the conductor over to involve him.
In Thomas’ words, what happened next truly says it all:
“So the conductor came up and said hey Etan Thomas love what you're doing in the community loved you with the Wizards big Cuse fan man the Knicks sure could use you… And I said was there something you wanted to tell my man? And she rolled her eyes…”

Sadly, Etan's story probably sounds very familiar to a lot of Black males.
