Diddy Surprise Donates $1 Million To Howard University During Homecoming Performance
Diddy’s set at Howard University’s homecoming over the weekend came with a big endowment for his alma mater.
On Friday night (October 20), the music mogul hit the stage at Yardfest, performing many of his classic songs. After the show ended, he presented a $1 million donation to Howard University President Dr. Ben Vinson III.
"As someone who attended Howard University and values the transformative experience of historically Black colleges, it remains crucial that we strive to protect and uphold their legacy," Combs said, according to WJLA-TV. "This donation to Howard is not just a financial contribution; it's also a reaffirmation of our commitment to a cultural institution that has touched countless lives. It's about ensuring that HBCUs continue to receive the support they rightfully deserve."

The donation is part of Diddy's promise at the “BET Awards” 2022 to donate to Howard and Jackson State University to support HBCUs. He gave the same generous gift to JSU in August.
President Vinson says the donation is “tremendously meaningful,” noting Diddy’s history with the HBCU. “His gift will have a profound impact on our students, paving the way for future leaders,” he told the news station. “We are honored to have Sean Combs as a part of our Bison family.”
