Secrets Unravel and Tensions Rise in the Latest Episode of 'The Oval'
Last week’s episode of “The Oval” ended with Priscilla catching Kyle rummaging through Hunter and Victoria’s bathroom cabinets, looking for the drugs that Victoria used to keep Hunter paralyzed. This week we pick up from that moment. Kyle refuses to tell Priscilla what he was up to but Priscilla is a tough cookie so she tries to take the pills out of Kyle’s hand. We all know that Kyle is crazy, so he grabs her by the neck and slams her against the wall before coming to his senses and running out.
We also ended last week with Sam’s journalist friend, Lena, discovering that Jason is, in fact, not dead. So, let’s get back to that moment. It’s showtime for Jason, who gets on camera and starts telling his story. Once it’s done, the journalist says she will show the video to her boss, but Sam and Jason tell her that if it gets into the wrong hands, aka a media puppet, then it was all for naught and that she has to keep the video close.
Back to Priscilla. She confirms with Hunter that she’s down to work with him after all. She also snitches on Kyle, so naturally, Hunter gets Isaac on the job. Isaac’s mission is to bring Kyle to Hunter for questioning.
Kyle informs Victoria that he managed to get the pills but that now Hunter wants to see him. Victoria demands that he answer Hunter’s call, but he must also figure out how to throw Hunter off his trail and get him to consume the poison.
Let’s fast forward a bit to the questioning. Hunter cuts to the chase and asks Kyle about his recent activities. Kyle seems to say the right stuff, and Hunter lets him off the hook, but it’s clear that he’s skeptical.
Next up, Eli asks Max if he has seen Victoria. It finally clicked that he hadn’t seen or heard from her in a while. Max was under the impression that Victoria has been caring for Hunter, which doesn’t make sense given how much the latter two hate each other. Hence, Eli wants answers and gets Max on the case to determine where Victoria is.
Kyle informs Donald about getting interrogated by Hunter. He also informs Donald that Victoria requested that he call her father. Donald declines that request because he wants Victoria locked up for as long as possible. Donald is out for self so at this point, he’s trying to play Victoria and Hunter.
Next, Isaac informs Hunter that Lena, the journalist, is there to see him.
She sits in his room, and that’s where we end things for now, but it’s looking like Hunter might be her boss and that she is, perhaps, a spy. Hopefully we’ll get some clarity about whether she is a journalist or not next week.
