Gucci Mane Is Headlining an 'All Lives Matter' Concert
#AllLivesMatter isn’t a real group. It’s just an annoying hashtag or saying or whatever that attempts to silence a movement for better treatment of people of color.
Apparently Gucci Mane missed the memo and decided to headline an All Lives Matter concert in Mississippi. The show, slated for September, is also one that aims to “stop the violence,” so there’s that.
The concert’s poster bills the event as one that includes Gucci Mane “and friends.” It also plans to donate some of proceeds of ticket sales to the families of Alton Sterling and Philando Castile.
Numerous musicians have been on the frontlines in protesting the recent police-involved shootings. It seems like more and more have surfaced over the past few weeks, which all came to a head when five police officers were shot and killed in Dallas by a lone gunman during an organized protest last week.
Guwop’s been a busy man since leaving prison. He’s already dropped numerous songs and plans on dropping his newest mixtape, Everybody Looking, next Friday (July 22). Check out the All Lives Matter concert's poster below.
