Chika Addresses Trolls Following Recent Hospitalization for Kidney Failure
Chika isn’t letting crude remarks about her health status go unchecked.
Following a recent hospital stay, the 26-year-old rapper returned to her social media platform where she gave fans an update on her well-being. The “Truth or Dare” emcee also took a took moment to address “N-ggas on Instagram laughing that I *had* kidney failure like my shit ain’t back to normal function & wasn’t in my last post clearly doing fine.”
The Alabama native, born Jane Chika Oranika, questioned in a Twitter post, “How you rejoicing at past trauma?” before adding that “it’s actually comical, lol.” In a follow-up post, the “Crown” rapper shared: “Anyway, I’m feeling great. adjusting well. feeling loved and understood by the people who matter to me. and that’s all that matters. a girl is content & honestly at peace.”
Chika recently revealed she had been hospitalized at a Los Angeles hospital twice last month due to kidney failure while sharing a series of hospital gown selfies on Instagram earlier this week. The rapper cleared up any confusion regarding her health, stating, “You know you can spend 3 days in ICU and then get moved to the regular floor right. Please shut the f**k up, I had kidney failure.”
Negative comments aside, the rapper received tons of support from fans who wished her a speedy recovery during this time.
