SMH: Kanye West Requested The Help Of This Radio Host To Make Colin Kaepernick Sit With Donald Trump

Nah, you played yourself, Ye.

Kanye West has been actively trying to win over his peers since his outlandish commentary on slavery earlier this year amid being a known supporter of Donald Trump's "Make America Great Again" campaign.

Ye sat down with TMZ Live, in hopes of being more progressive. He told Harvey Levin that he has been tirelessly attempting to reach socio-political activist, Colin Kaepernick. Ye is aiming to have a sitdown with both Trump and Kaepernick on his upcoming visit to the White House.

  • Ye, then, took to social media and is now reaching out to famed NY radio host Ebro Darden of Hot 97 for help on the matter.

Ebro brought up the subject on his notorious morning and explained the situation to listeners. Essentially, Travis Mills of Apple Music's Beats 1 told Ye to call Ebro. When Ye brought up the idea of Kaepernick coming to the White House, Ebro spoke for everyone stating, "no, we not doing that." T. Mills hadn't mentioned Ye's proposal and the three men were conjoined on a call.

Ebro defended his stance, "when it comes to Colin Kaepernick, it's a 'we' situation because there are people standing with [him], rallying around him, y'all think we playing games. What would be in it for Colin Kaepernick to go up to the White House?" Ebro also stated that the only thing Trump needs to do for Kaepernick to apologize for verbally attacking NFL players' peaceful protest.

  • Ebro went onto say that Kanye isn't credible enough to make this a matter of public knowledge. "If you wanna have a private conversation, you don't go tweeting about it first?"

He did make a great point about why this might be such a pressing issue for Ye and Trump. "He's doing this to cause confusion," weeks before the midterm elections. "People don't have access to Colin like that. He don't talk. He's not making this a media moment," unlike Ye.

  • "Colin Kaepernick is actually doing things and doesn't need to have meetings with people to accomplish his goals," said Ebro to finalize his sentiments.

This 10-minute discussion (below) is definitely one that many will agree with. Ye is only digging himself into a deeper hole while Kaepernick is making bank as the face of Nike. Do better, Kanye.
