Meagan Good Just Landed the Role of a Lifetime
Meagan Good and her husband, DeVon Franklin, are heading to Hulu!
According to Deadline, the actress is set to star in a TV series adaptation of cult movie Foxy Brown (1974), playing the title role. DeVon will executive produce along with Tony Krantz.
The project landed at Hulu for development and will be backed by MGM TV. It will also be written by some major names as Empire co-executive producer Malcolm Spellman and Hand of God creator Ben Watkins are confirmed to pen the modern adaptation of the classic.
The iconic Foxy Brown character was originally played by Pam Grier and is considered one of the most striking portrayals of a strong and powerful African-American woman in Hollywood.
In addition to playing the lead role, Meagan will also serve as a producer on the Hulu series.
