City Girls Drop Official ‘Act Up’ Music Video With Lil Yachty

City Girls gone wild for Spring Break!

Miami’s dynamic female rap duo City Girls and Lil Yachty snatched up the internet on Thursday (May 30) with the official summer-smashing, spring-breaking “Act Up” music video.

Led by Lil Boat, whose been exalted for his songwriting credits on City Girls’ Billboard Hot 100-peaking single, the visual opens with the 21-year-old reporting urgent Spring Break news: the widespread #ActUpChallenge endemic sweeping through Miami. Yachty’s breaking news report concludes as he invites viewers to check out the footage that’s “driving Spring Breakers insane” before the scene fades into a catwalking Yung Miami (Carresha) spitting the opening bars of the smash hit.

Sans JT, who recently sent a message to her fans from behind bars, the video shows ladies everywhere ready to act up with their girls all summer from the corner store, to the passenger seat, to the beach and everywhere in between. Resha parties up and shuts Spring Break down with the bikini-laden, twerk-happy women as she spits her verse as well. In one of its most hilarious moments, Yachty throws on his songwriter’s hat again in a quick scene-cut and gives Resha a quick pointer on what to say and how to spit her second verse.

Given JT’s current situation, some fans were saddened to see that she wasn’t included in the video. But now that they have the song and visual pair for one of summer 2019’s indisputable radio and club bangers, they’re still screaming #FreeJT for the time being.
