Report: Jay Z, Eminem Donate to Sean Price Family
Sean Price's passing continues to linger on the minds of hip hop heads everywhere.
While several figures in the community have come forward to lend their support, two of the genre's most respected artists, Jay Z and Eminem, were recently recognized for generously donating funds to his loved ones.
Dru Ha, the founder of his home label Duck Down, wrote a beautiful eulogy for his lost friend and revealed that Jigga made "a very generous donation to Sean's fund." The exacty amount has not been disclosed.
Elsewhere, HipHopDX reports that Eminem gave Price's family $10,000 last week. Peter Rosenberg, Em's manager, spoke highly of the passed MC in an interview with AllHipHop, saying, "I swear I just told Marshall [Eminem] on Thursday that Sean was my current favorite. I hung on every word in his verses."
The fund, thus far, has raised $87,753. Despite his untimely death, Sean's music lives on with his posthumous album Songs In the Key of Price officially dropping yesterday (Aug. 21). It is currently available on iTunes for $7.99.
