A plea deal in Justin Bieber's DUI arrest is no longer on the table and the case will go to trial next month, reports TMZ. 

Bieber, 19, was busted in Miami Beach for driving under the influence of alcohol, drag racing and resisting arrest Jan. 22. Prosecutors offered the singer an opportunity to plead no contest to the lesser charge of reckless driving and bypass possible jail time.

However, Bieber would have been required to undergo drug testing for as much as nine months, complete an alcohol education course, 40 hours of community service and attend a panel where DUI victims speak on their experiences. 

He would have also had to install a breath alcohol ignition device that prevents cars from starting if intoxication is detected. 

Both sides are gearing up for the court battle. Bieber's high powered attorney Roy Black is preparing a defense hinged on poking holes in the credibility of arresting officer Steven Cosner. Other inconsistencies, like Bieber smelling of alcohol but not being drunk, are expected to be brought up in the case as well.

Sources say the police department is prepared to acknowledge alleged Bieber fabrications made by Cosner and another officer involved. 

While his lawyer preps for the trial, the Canadian transplant has been hiding out in Atlanta and working on new music. His new living situation hasn't gone completely under the radar though. Yesterday a local radio station staged a fake protest calling for Bieber to leave his new neighborhood. 

If convicted in the DUI case, Bieber, who turns 20 weekend, could face up to two and a half years behind bars.
