Garcelle Beauvais is ready for her son to take the lead in his career in the fashion industry. 

In a recent interview with PEOPLE, the "Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" star discussed her son Jaid's exciting modeling career. While she's proud of him, the reality TV star is empowering her 16-year-old son to stand on his own.

"It's crazy. It's so crazy to see," she told the outlet. 

Beauvais also recounted a previous session where she captured Jaid embracing the moment on set.

 "We just did a photo shoot, and he was so cool and calm, and it was wild, you know? But I think it's going to be good for him. He's kind of shy, so I think this'll help him."

As someone who has graced billboards and magazine covers throughout her career, Beauvais knows a star when she sees one.

"He's got the chops to do it, so it'll be interesting," she said while adding, "I don't want to be his momager. I want him to figure it out.”

She's also ready for him to get in the driver's seat, literally.

"I need him to get his license though, so he can drive himself because I'm busy."
