'The Breakfast Club' Celebrates 'Wild’N Out’s' 20th Season

Some of the cast from the show chopped it up with Charlamagne tha God and DJ Envy all week.

Charlamagne tha God and DJ Envy are back this week with new episodes of “The Breakfast Club.” This week’s recap starts with the 85 South Show kicking off “The Breakfast Club’s” celebration of Nick Cannon’s “Wild ‘N Out’s” 20th season and 18th year. That’s a huge deal for comedy and Chico Bean, DC Young Fly and others from the show will be on to talk about it all week.

Ice Cube stopped by on Tuesday to discuss some of the frustrating things that have been happening between BIG3 and the NBA. The main thing he wanted to make clear was that they are not competition.

Wednesday is back on that “Wild ‘N Out” with Emmanuel Hudson joining Charlamagne and DJ Envy as guest host. They chopped it up about whether liking pictures on social media is cheating. This all stemmed from a conversation started by Keri Hilson. Views were mixed, as usual.

We wind down the week with Michaelle Buteau, Garcelle Beauvais, and Tasha Smith to discuss Buteau’s upcoming Netflix series “Survival of the Thickest,” based on her book. It has been a long time coming, but she finally made it.

“Getting married is a shared experience, having kids, I could talk to anyone in the world about that, but to be a plus sized woman, size 18, 20, not fitting any mold -- you’re too big, you’re not big enough, whatever the f--k it is that I can’t do for somebody, to just do me and know that it’s going to work out 20 something odd years later -- to write a book and to have that book optioned into eight beautiful episodes on one of the biggest platforms, and I’m gonna have this show drop in 190 countries, I’m like ok, if imma do it, then imma do it!” explains Buteau.

And that is your weekly “Breakfast Club” round-up. Watch the video for the full scope of what you may have missed or want to playback.
