Wiz Khalifa’s “Roll Up” Strikes Gold
The rapper rolls out another successful single that sells 500K.
Wiz Khalifa can add another plaque to his mantle. The Pittsburgh rapper who had a smash hit with 2010's "Black and Yellow," has just earned his second gold single with "Roll Up," off his debut album Rolling Papers. According to Atlantic Records, the digital release has crossed the 500,000-sales mark.
"Roll Up" is one of the album’s mellower, more female-friendly songs, drawing comparisons to early Nelly singles. The video co-stars perennial hip-hop crush Cassie. Wiz's major label debut entered Billboard’s Top 200 chart at No. 2 and has sold over 370,000 copies to date.
